Tom has a family background in the transport industry, with his father Alan being a truck driver from his teenage years and his oldest brother Glenn also being a qualified diesel mechanic, he was destined to be a part of the transport industry. Tom started work experience in 2005 before starting his apprenticeship in 2006, completing his trade certificate in 2010. During his time he has completed factory training with various brands. Tom has done some part time truck driving but remained content fixing them. Working at various workshops until 2016, when Tom felt he had gained enough experience to be able to run his own workshop to the high standard of workmanship that he wanted to offer to his customers.
So in 2016, Grinters Mechanical opened its doors for the first time, offering exceptional workmanship and friendly customer service to our valued customers.
Starting out as a one man show, we now have 7 employees and just moved to a larger location with a more equipped workshop to keep up with demand for our services. We are currently in the process of expanding the new facility to accommodate future growth.
